About me:
I’m Gail Speedy Mayeaux, an independent consultant and a former FQHC CEO for 12 years. I founded Mayeaux Healthcare Strategies in 2024 to focus on helping Federally Qualified Health Centers and safety net providers excel in providing healthcare services to their communities. I focus on grant writing, including federal FQHC grants, compliance and operational site visits and executive and operational support.

We focus on providing expert help for FQHCs to submit highly competitive grant applications. Our scope of work includes writing New Access Point, Service Area Competition and Look Alike applications at the federal level. We also support state and local foundation grant initiatives and provide expert strategy and project management.
Mock Operational Site Visits:
We offer a suite of Mock OSV options including providing a desk review, a two-day, one-consultant on-site review and a two-day, two-consultant review to help you and your team prepare for an upcoming HRSA OSV compliance audit. We produce a final report with specific areas for improvement and strategies to achieve your goals.
FQHC Operational Support:
We can offer executive coaching, interim staffing and project management support with a seasoned leader who is well-versed in FQHC operations. My past work includes all of the above as well as financial and operational turnaround strategies, reorganizations and strategic planning services.
Expert Assistance:
I served for 12 years as the CEO of a rural, two-county FQHC in upstate New York and wrote the successful Look Alike and New Access Point applications to help our organization become an FQHC. I also authored our turnaround strategy, leading to unprecedented growth. For the past seven years, I’ve worked with FQHCs around the country helping them to write grants, restructure and prepare for their OSVs.
